The wilderness is a place for great adventure. Within it is the home of the
untamed. It's a place to be respected, but not feared. The ‘wild’ in wilderness is
what calls to the hearts of all mankind.
Anything can happen at any time. For some people, that's the intrigue. We
should never go looking for danger, but when you’re alone in a world that you
can’t control, you should always be ready for it.
The Young Hunter is a series of short stories about a boy who sets off on
adventurous hunting expeditions. Each adventure story will be revealed in stages.
Come back to the site often to read a new chapter to the story. There are also
other short stories (fiction and non-fiction) and articles (typically non-fiction).
The primary objective of each story is to stir the wilderness within your soul in the
hope that you will become interested in spending time in the outdoors - hunting,
fishing, hiking and learning. Although the primary audience is
young people between the ages of 8 and 12, all are invited to join in the
exploration.
